Arathi Hattikal, the Managing Trustee – CEO of Little Saplings Preschool has completed Montessori Global Diploma in Early childhood from UK University with a graduation in Business Management. Having a burning desire to start her own brand school, she has 18 years of work experience in kindergarten and primary at renowned schools from Delhi and Bangalore with varied curriculum like IB, IGCSE, ICSC and CBSC. Even while taking the initiative to be an event coordinator, she was given the position of being an academic coordinator .This is where her strength as a curriculum developer emerged. Planning curriculum for all the segments, she designed lessons plans that included the assessments as well, the outcomes of which were far reaching. Interestingly, she was designated to be the coordinator for the International School Awards for British Council. This certainly gave ample scope to see education from an International dimension. Collaborating with international partner schools gave her an edge over others as she began to view things from a global perspective, besides using the thematic approach. She was also acknowledged by the British Council with certificates for two online course on International Learning. Presently, she wants to allocate her knowledge, experience and passion in the field of education , thus giving birth to her dream, her first preschool, ” Little Saplings Preschool’” in the year 2017.
